On Ogie Diaz’s YouTube vlog, Robin Padilla provided an inspiring and insightful interview to his friend.

According to the actor, he has spent millions of dollars helping others by making movies to provide jobs for his coworkers, establishing a Muslim cemetery, and donating to the impoverished.

He explained that when he and Mariel were recently recruited for a commercial, they donated all of the proceeds to his fellow Muslims during Ramadan. Similarly, he used the money granted to him by ABS-CBN to purchase rice for those who were unable to feed themselves due to the pandemic.

“Kinuha kami sa commercial, pinamigay naming ng Ramadan. Hindi na dumaan sa amin yun.

“Pagkabayad sa amin nun, bigay na naming kaagad sa mga Muslim. Nagpa-contest na ako.

“Di naman ako nanghihinayang dun, masaya ako dun.

“Nung dumating yung pandemic, wala na yon, withdraw ko na lahat yun. Pinamigay ko nitong pandemic. Binigay ko sa mga tao. Binigya nga akong pera ng ABS-CBN pinambili ko ng bigas,” Robin told Ogie.

Furthermore, the action actor stated that when he gives away his riches to help others, his wife, Mariel Padilla, is sometimes surprised and upset. He clarified to his wife, however, that if he knew his family needed the money, he would not give it away.

“Pag sobra na, ipamigay mo na kaysa matapon…

“Lagi kong sinasabi yan kay Mariel kasi minsan umaangal sila e.

“Hindi naman away. Parang ano lang, parang nagugulat lang siya. Kasi minsan buo e, wala ka man lang tinira. Inexplain ko naman sa kanya, kung nakita kong kailangan natin, bakit ko ipamimigay. Hindi naman natin kailangan,” Robin shared.
