Melai Cantiveros recently revealed her thoughts on musicians who would switch networks.
Added her, “Basta ba si Lord ang center sa kanilang life . At the end of the day magkakapamilya naman tayo lahat sa mata ni Lord,”
She went on to say that she will concentrate on what she has and what she can offer the network.
“Ako bilang Kapamilya star na magfocus ako kung anong meron ako at mabibigay kong talent pa hangga’t sa may gusto pa. Iyan ang natutunan ko bilang Kapamilya,” said the comedienne.
ABS-CBN, one of the country’s most popular networks, went off the air on May 5, 2020, after the House of Representatives failed to renew its Congressional franchise.
After a year, the network has seen significant changes, with thousands of employees losing their jobs – in the midst of a pandemic, no less – as the corporation grappled with the consequences of having a smaller reach.
Lets take a look on of the stars who left the network:
Johnny Manahan – Mr M, a longstanding executive known as “Mr M,” has stepped down as the CEO of Star Magic. He went on to direct the Sunday Noontime Live variety show on TV5. In January, the show was canceled.
Maja Salvador – After 18 years with Star Magic, the actress joined TV5, where she began as a host of Sunday Noontime Live. She presently stars in the TV5 sitcom Nia Nio and launched Crown Artist Management, her own talent management organization, in March.
Bea Alonzo – Shirley Kuan is now the star’s manager, having left Star Magic in November 2020. Bea started her acting career with ABS-CBN, where she appeared in episodes like K2BU, Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay, and It Might Be You, as well as films like One More Chance and The Mistress. In 2001, she was introduced as part of Star Magic Batch 10.
Richard Yap – In December 2020, the actor joined GMA. Richard worked for ABS-CBN for nine years and rose to fame as Ser Chief in the blockbuster show Be Careful With My Heart.
