After testing positive from COVID-19, a chosen lead actor for an upcoming film has to be replaced by another artist to follow health protocols and avoid spreading the virus.

According to Noel Ferrer, the crew of the anonymous film is now facing a hard time meeting the deadline before the shooting.

“All set na sila. Na-swab lahat. Ayos ang logistics, schedule, lahat-lahat na!

“Nag-quarantine ang mga artista before swab. Then, after their swab results, punta na sa location and start nang mag-grind the next day.

“OK na OK ang bidang artistang babae! She came prepared.

“Kahit ang dami niyang pinagkakaabalahang aktibidades ay masinop siya, and she delivers.

“Nagkaproblema sa lead actor na kapareha sana ni busy actress. Medyo nagtatak naman si lead actor at naging at home sa kanyang huling teleseryeng nasalihan.

”Nag-quarantine si lead actor since ECQ. Tapos, ikinagulat na lang ng lahat na nag-positive si aktor kaya kinailangan siyang tanggalin at palitan para sa nasabing shoot.

“How frustrating can that be? Nag-preprod na, naihanda na ang lahat… tapos ayan, napurnada pa. Change casting bigla.”

Added him, the prod is now trying to pursue a hunk actor instead for replacement.

Meanwhile, journalist and talent manager Gorgy Rula shares some advice for every movie and production crews so that thy can avoid more situations like these.

“Gusto ko rin sanang i-suggest sa mga gustong mag-produce ng pelikula, dapat sigurong umiwas din sa pagkuha sa mga artistang naglalagare ng trabaho.

“Huwag ninyong payagan ang artistang pumasok sa lock-in shooting na galing sa isang lock-in taping o isa pang shooting. Ang laki ng risk na magdadala ito ng virus mula sa dating pinagtrabahuan.”
