Jollibee Group Earns PMAP Excellence Award
Jollibee Group has been named one of four recipients of the Multi-Year Excellence Award by the People Management Association of the Philippines (PMAP), recognizing organizations that have received at least three PMAP Awards throughout the program’s 50-year history.
The recognition was presented during the 50th PMAP Awards Night on October 22 at the Marriott Grand Ballroom in Pasay City, held as part of the 63rd PMAP Annual Conference.
For Jollibee Group, the award brings together three previous PMAP distinctions received over nearly three decades.
Jollibee Foods Corporation first received the Employer of the Year Award in 1998 and earned the same recognition again in 2024. Also in 2024, Jollibee Group Global Chief Human Resources Officer Arsenio Sabado was named PMAP People Manager of the Year.
These recognitions qualified the company for the Multi-Year Excellence Award, one of the special Golden Jubilee awards presented in connection with PMAP’s 50th anniversary.
The latest recognition reflects the company’s record of people management awards across different periods of its growth, from its first Employer of the Year distinction in 1998 to its more recent recognition in 2024.
“Being recognized for our people management practices over the years is especially meaningful because it reflects the dedication and contributions of the people who have shaped Jollibee Group into what it is today,” said Jollibee Group Global President and CEO Ernesto Tanmantiong.
He said the company remains focused on developing its people as it continues to expand.
Sabado said the recognition also underscores the need for companies to continually adapt their people management practices as workplace and business requirements change.
“Workplace excellence is not a destination, but a commitment to keep getting better,” he said. “The needs of our employees and our business continue to change, and we have to keep listening, learning, and improving how we support our teams.”
The Multi-Year Excellence Award is part of PMAP’s Golden Jubilee recognitions marking five decades of its awards program.
Jollibee Group Philippines CEO and Head of Jollibee Brand Global Joseph Tanbuntiong, Global Chief Human Resources Officer Arsenio Sabado, and Jollibee Group Philippines Chief Human Resources Officer and HR Head for Jollibee Brand International Ruth Angeles joined Tanmantiong at the awards ceremony.
