Toyota, AAP launch free 24/7 roadside assistance for eligible owners

Toyota Motor Philippines (TMP) is expanding its after-sales support through a new partnership with the Automobile Association Philippines (AAP), providing eligible Toyota owners with free 24/7 Emergency Roadside Assistance (ERS) beginning August 2026.

The partnership strengthens Toyota’s commitment to customer safety and mobility beyond the vehicle purchase, giving eligible motorists access to nationwide roadside assistance services through AAP, one of the country’s established motoring organizations.

The program is available to new Toyota Tamaraw and Lite Ace owners whose units are sold beginning August 2026.

Covered services include flat-tire replacement, battery boosting, minor on-site mechanical repairs, emergency fuel delivery, and towing assistance of up to one intervention or 25 kilometers to the nearest Toyota dealership.

Membership is valid for one year from the vehicle release date. Customers can activate their membership by scanning the QR code included with their membership card.

The program is expected to provide added support to Tamaraw and Lite Ace owners, particularly entrepreneurs, businesses, and families who rely on their vehicles for everyday mobility.

For the locally produced Toyota Tamaraw, manufactured by Toyota Motor Philippines, the roadside assistance program adds another layer of support to the ownership experience.

“AAP has been recognized for its commitment to road safety, a mission that Toyota deeply shares. That is why today’s agreement is significant. It reflects our shared commitment to providing better service and greater peace of mind to our customers. Through this program, we want our customers to know that help is available whenever they need it,” said Toyota Motor Philippines President Masando Hashimoto during the ceremonial contract signing on July 20.

“At Toyota, our responsibility does not end when we hand over the keys. We remain committed to supporting our customers throughout their ownership journey,” he added.

AAP President Augustus Ferreria said the partnership also supports the broader goal of promoting safer and more responsible motoring.

“Our recent engagements with fellow automobile clubs have reinforced one common challenge shared by many countries—improving driver education and road discipline. Partnerships such as this with Toyota Motor Philippines go beyond providing emergency roadside assistance; they help us build a culture of safer, more responsible motorists,” Ferreria said.

“It is our hope that every Toyota Tamaraw and Lite Ace owner will not only have peace of mind through AAP’s roadside assistance, but also become better and more disciplined drivers,” he added.

Toyota and AAP have maintained a longstanding partnership through initiatives promoting road safety and responsible motoring, including their collaboration in the Toyota Gazoo Racing Philippine Cup.

The new Emergency Roadside Assistance Program marks another step in that partnership, providing practical roadside support to eligible Toyota customers nationwide.
