PH, US, Japan to Host Luzon Corridor Forum
The governments of the United States, the Philippines and Japan will co-host the inaugural Luzon Economic Corridor (LEC) Investment Forum on Sept. 10-11, 2026, bringing together some 600 investors, industry leaders, project developers, financiers and senior government officials in Manila.
The U.S. Trade and Development Agency (USTDA) said the two-day forum will highlight coordinated efforts by the three countries and partner governments to advance high-impact infrastructure projects, attract private investment, strengthen supply-chain security and resilience, and support long-term economic growth in the Philippines.
Senior officials from Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Italy, South Korea, Sweden and the United Kingdom are also expected to participate in the forum.
The event will focus on investment and commercial opportunities across key sectors of the LEC, including transportation and logistics, energy, digital connectivity, advanced manufacturing, private capital and financing partnerships.
Among the forum’s highlights are:
- Investment opportunities and project pipeline — A curated pipeline of priority infrastructure projects seeking financing, project development support, commercial partnerships and innovative solutions.
- Market intelligence — Insights into the Philippines’ investment climate, economic priorities and policy reforms shaping growth across the corridor.
- Strategic networking and forum expo — Breakout sessions, deal-making and exhibition spaces connecting government leaders, investors, developers, technology providers, financiers and project sponsors.
- Site visits — Guided visits to key corridor nodes in Subic Bay, Clark and Batangas, showcasing prospective logistics, digital and energy projects.
“The United States’ leadership in the Indo-Pacific is built on trusted partnerships and a shared commitment to secure, high-quality infrastructure,” USTDA Deputy Director Thomas R. Hardy said.
“The LEC Investment Forum brings together the United States, Japan, the Philippines and our partner nations around one goal: turning priority projects into commercial reality, while advancing our collective vision for a free and open Indo-Pacific,” Hardy added.
The Luzon Economic Corridor links Subic Bay, Clark, Manila and Batangas and represents a major component of the Philippine economy, accounting for approximately 50% of the country’s gross domestic product, according to USTDA.
USTDA is supporting the development of the corridor through technical assistance for the proposed 132-mile Subic-Clark-Manila-Batangas Railway, which is envisioned as a backbone infrastructure project for the LEC.
The investment forum is expected to provide a platform for governments, investors and the private sector to identify projects, build commercial partnerships and mobilize capital for infrastructure development along the corridor.
