Hotel Okura Manila’s Akizuki mooncakes return
Akizuki Mooncake Collection returns to welcome the mid-autumn season, an exclusive offering inspired by autumn in Japan and the century-old tradition of wrapping, furoshiki.
Named after the Japanese word “Akizuki”, meaning “Autumn Moon”, the collection is presented in a white box wrapped in red furoshiki, creating a thoughtful keepsake and a meaningful gift for gatherings during the season.
The furoshiki features the traditional Japanese shippo pattern, the “seven treasures.” Formed by interlocking circles, it symbolizes long lasting bond and good fortune — values that lasts across generations.
Inside are four golden mooncakes, each revisiting a familiar flavor to be enjoyed, remembered, and shared:
• Ube – a familiar Filipino favorite with its smooth texture and gently earthy sweetness.
• Black Sesame – a deeply nutty and aromatic flavor with a rich roasted character.
• White Lotus – rich, velvety, and elegantly mellow
• Red Bean – a classic Japanese flavor and a comforting finish to the assortment.
The Akizuki Mooncake Collection offers a thoughtful way to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival with family, friends, and loved ones — sharing tradition while savoring some of the season’s most meaningful moments.
Guests may enjoy an early bird offer of 20% off from August 1 to 31, 2026, applicable to orders of at least two boxes and up to nine boxes.
For larger orders, Hotel Okura Manila is also offering a 10+1 promotion, where guests receive one complimentary box for every 10 boxes purchased.
The Akizuki Mooncake Collection will be available for pickup from September 22 to October 6, 2026.
