5 German firms bullish on Phl market for cosmetics and wellness products
Eye local partners to cater to e-commerce, tradiotional retail store and other channels

True to its commitmenrt to sustain the momentum and further bolster trade relations with the Philippines, the German-Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (GPCCI) hosted the German-Philippine Conference on Beauty & Business for Cosmetics and Wellness.
Veering away from the usual industrial, technical or technological business conference, this first cosmetic and wellness conference is aimed to support the SME, bared by GPCCI Executive Director Christopher Zimmer to THEPHILBIZNEWS.
“The Philippines is a huge and untapped market for the German cosmetics and wellness products, and all these product are science based. Bringing these products to the Filipinos will yield two good results. On the business side, these German companies seek to have serious partners for various channels to market the product in the Philippines. Then, the Filipino will have accesss to great products that are already in the other ASEAN market,” he said.
“Our chamber is happy to provide the stage for our German companies seek to to connect with key stakeholders in the Philippines, fostering valuable partnerships and exploring exciting business opportunities, in the cosmetics and wellness sectors in the Philippines,” Zimmer explained.
The German companies that joined the German-Philippine Conference on Beauty & Business for Cosmetics and Wellness are NOBIS, Estatira Organic, MedSkin Solutions, Medical Beauty Research, and Skin Care Manufaktur. conference entitled “Beauty & Business for Cosmetics and Wellness”. The event took place on Tuesday, 20th June 2023, at 9 am at Fairmont Hotel, Makati City.
For his part, German Embassy Economic Counselor Dr. David Klebs said, “The German government has a strategy of diversifying its economic relations with many countries and the Philippines is also one of our potential partners that will benefit from it.”
“We have good relationship with the government and we are bullish that the bilateral trade between the Philippines and Germany will grow. Last, 2021, the trade reached 5.8B euros in 2021, and in 2022, it reached 7.2B euros, and they way things are going, we expect that further growth will take place but we cannot really tell how much it would be but the growth trajectory is immenent,” Klebs said.
