Celebrity couple Toni Gonzaga-Soriano and Paul Soriano have formally declared their support towards the presidential aspirant former president Ferdinand Bongbong Marcos Jr.

Former Senator Bongbong Marcos Jr. is running for presidency under the UniTeam BBM-Sara where he runs with Davao City Vice Mayor Inday Sara Duterte who runs for the position of the vice president.

On Instagram, Marcos Jr. thanked Toni Gonzaga for hosting their proclamation rally held in the Philippine Arena back in February 8.

“Taos pusong pasasalamat kay Toni Gonzaga-Soriano sa pagiging host ng Uniteam Proclamation Rally.

“Isang makasaysayang gabi na hindi namin malilimutan ni Mayor Inday Sara kapiling ang aming mga tagasuporta, pamilya, kaibigan at mga nanindigan para sa ating samahan ng pagkakaisa – gaya mo Toni.

“Maraming salamat muli sa lahat!” The presidential aspirant wrote.

Toni Gonzaga then reposted it through her Instagram story and wrote, “You’re welcome my President.”

Meanwhile, Paul Soriano took to Instagram to post a photo of him and his wife along with the presidential aspirant.

However, their act of declaring their support for Marcos Jr. is something that the netizens weren’t able to accept easily. Both Toni Gonzaga and Paul Soriano received a backlash from the netizens.

The netizens kept on bringing back the things that Toni did and said when the ABS-CBN Franchise was not renewed. People believe that the actress betrayed her network for choosing to endorse the people behind the closure of their network.

Meanwhile, the netizens can’t help but think of the possible reasons why the celebrity couple chose to support the presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos Jr.

It is evident that Paul Soriano has a close relationship with Bongbong Marcos who happens to be he and his wife’s wedding godfather.

In addition to that, Direk Paul Soriano is the nephew of Bongbong Marcos’ wife, Liza Araneta-Ramos who has once happens to be the associate producer of the films he directed such as Kid Kulafu and Transit.
