ABS-CBN has finally released an official statement on July 28, Wednesday afternoon, regarding Jane de Leon’s launching project:

“Lilipad na sa wakas bilang Darna si Jane de Leon at magsisimula nang mag-taping para sa Mars Ravelo’s Darna: The TV Series ngayong Setyembre.

“Dahil dito, tinatapos na ni Jane ang mga natitira niyang eksena sa FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, kung saan niya ginagampanan ang karakter ni Capt. Lia Mante.

“Mapapanood ang mas maaksyong FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano sa mga susunod na gabi dahil sa pagsasanib-pwersa nina Lia at Cardo para sa isang mahalagang misyon.”

Two years have passed since the public have heard of Jane replacing Liza Soberano as the new Darna.

January 14, 2021 when it was announced that Jane will be entering FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano first.

Someone close to Jane’s camp said that the TV series Darna will be developed in March 2021, and a new director will be found to replace Jerrold Tarog.

Last weekend, Bernard Cloma said that the production has already talked to an award-winning director for the series.

According to the Kapamilya insider we chatted with this Wednesday afternoon via Viber, it has not been confirmed who will direct the DARNA series.

If it hadn’t because of the ashfall, Jane de Leon’s scenes in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano would have ended.

But because her exit is really being improved, it will be shot in Ilocos and these sequences will be prioritized so that she can prepare for Darna.

It must have been marked so that Jane had a good memory before she swallowed the magical stone and shout “DARNA!”
