When Alfred Vargas received his portrait, hand-drawn by his wife Yasmine Espiritu, for their anniversary, he was overjoyed.

Before their civil wedding in 2010, Alfred and Yasmine had been together since 2008. Then, in July 2017, they remarried in their fantasy church wedding:.

Yasmine surprised her hubby with a portrait she hand-drew on their 13th anniversary this year.

The actor-turned-politician was so impressed and pleased of his wife’s work that he posted pictures of it on social media.

He said, “Thirteen years ago, I met the love of my life @yasmine_vargas2307. Love at first sight turned out to be true love. To this day, we work on our love so that it can turn to forever one day.

“I love you, Amore ko. Thank you for this very artistic, surprise, labor of love, gift on this special anniversary of ours. Super ganda! Instantly my favorite portrait of mine. Kaya pala hindi kita mahagilap for a few days, busy ka sketching me?”

To commemorate their anniversary, Yasmine also composed a short devotion.

She said, “13 years together. Happy to share this life with you. Happy Anniversary! I love you @alfredvargasofficial.”
