For his part, Derek posted a birthday greeting to Elias on Instagram.

The actor first posted a picture of himself and Elias in the pool and riding the life boat.

A netizen praised Derek for being a good “stepdad” to Elias and John Lloyd should also thank Derek for being a better father figure.

But Derek obviously didn’t like the feedback from his followers.

Derek clarifies, John Lloyd is a good father to Elias.

According to the GMA star, : “Bro that’s not nice. Jl is a good father to Elias.”

Another commenter replied by Derek.

The netizen chastised the Filipino-British actor and said that he should be considerate of John Lloyd’s feelings.

Derek responded nicely to the netizen and insisted that he has no issue with John Lloyd.

“Sorry but that’s such an awful thing to say. Jl and and I have no issues. He is a great father to Elias and I am not trying to replace him as the [father] of Elias.

“Ellen is my fiancé and I love both of them very much”
