Sunshine Dizon, pumayag ng maging artista ang kanyang anak na si Doreen basta sa isang kondisyon

Unlike other celebrity moms, actress Sunshine Dizon is totally fine with her daughter Doreen to enter showbiz when the time comes.

But if there is anything that Sunshine does not want to happen is for Doreen to be a child star just like her, whose life became an open book to the public.

“Ako, sabi ko nga kay Doreen at Anton, ‘Anak, ayusin niyo na ang pag-aaral ngayon.

“Salamat that we are privileged enough at nakakapag-aral kayo sa magandang eskuwelahan. At hindi lahat ng bata ngayon ay nakakapag-aral.

“Ako kasi, isa ‘yan sa mga frustrations ko. Hindi talaga ako nakatapos ng college.

“So sabi ko sa kanila, especially ngayong pandemic, sabi ko sa mga anak ko, ‘Alam niyo, anak, kung nakatapos ako ng college, kahit anong trabaho pwede kong pasukan.’

“But the fact remains that I did not finish college. So hindi ako gano’n ka-free katulad ng ibang tao that they can simply decide to work here and there, di ba?”

Sa dalawang anak daw niya, si Doreen ang nakikita niya na mukhang posibleng sumunod sa yapak niya.

“Si Doreen kasi ang parang gustong mag-aartista, e. Kaya sabi ko, ‘Doreen, basta i-promise mo lang sa akin na makatapos ka ng college.

“’Kung talagang gusto mong mag-artista, I will let you go. Do it, I will support you.’”

Sabi pa niya, “Iba pa rin ang nakatapos ng college. May fall back ka. At kahit saan ka man itapon o saan ka man mapunta, meron ka palaging option.”

In her interview with PEP.ph, the actress talks about the status of his marriage with Timothy Tan.

The actress has already confirmed that she and husband are now living separately and are just co-parenting for their children.

For Sunshine, her decision was right.

“You know in life, wala namang perfect talaga, ‘di ba? We have regrets. We own up to our mistakes.

“Pero, when I look at my children, I can somehow say that I did something right because of how I raised them, how they are.”
