Michelin Appoints BSB Junrose as New PH Distributor

Michelin has appointed BSB Junrose as one of its new importer-distributors in the Philippines, expanding the tire manufacturer’s support for commercial transportation and fleet customers as it strengthens its presence in the country’s growing commercial mobility market.

The appointment comes as Michelin builds on more than 60 percent growth in Philippine sales volume since 2023 and expands its local importer-distributor network from four to seven.

For BSB Junrose, the appointment builds on its established presence in the commercial aftermarket and its experience supporting fleet operators through a range of products, including batteries, lubricants, grease, clutches, bearings and selected engine components. The addition of Michelin commercial tires broadens that capability to another critical area of fleet operations.

“BSB Junrose is strengthening its role in commercial mobility by supporting fleet operators in selected critical areas that contribute to vehicle reliability, uptime and operational efficiency,” said Ian Bangayan, President of BSB Junrose. “The addition of Michelin commercial tires expands that capability into another essential area of fleet operations.”

Fleet performance is business performance

Commercial vehicles sit at the center of logistics, distribution and the daily movement of goods. When a vehicle is taken off the road unexpectedly, the cost is rarely limited to the repair itself. Delayed deliveries, interrupted schedules and missed commitments can quickly affect customer service and operating results.

For fleet operators, decisions on tires and other vehicle components therefore extend beyond purchase price. Reliability, product availability, safety, maintenance requirements and the impact of each component on productive vehicle time are all part of fleet management.

This makes tires an important operational consideration for businesses that depend on commercial vehicles to deliver goods and services on schedule.

BSB Junrose’s existing product portfolio already addresses several of these fleet requirements. Its range of batteries, lubricants, grease, clutches, bearings and selected engine components supports different aspects of vehicle maintenance and operation.

With Michelin commercial tires now added to its portfolio, the company can extend that support to another component directly linked to vehicle performance and availability.

Expanding commercial fleet support

As one of Michelin’s new importer-distributors, BSB Junrose will serve selected commercial transportation and fleet applications in the Philippine market.

Commercial fleets operate under varying route conditions, load requirements and maintenance demands. Tire selection must therefore be matched to how each vehicle is used, with operators considering factors such as application, operating conditions, expected performance and maintenance requirements.

The initial Michelin commercial tire range available through BSB Junrose will cover specific vehicle applications in the Philippine market, supported by product guidance for fleet customers.

The move also reflects Michelin’s broader effort to expand its reach in the Philippines. With sales volume growing by more than 60 percent since 2023, the expansion of its importer-distributor network from four to seven gives the company additional channels to serve customers beyond its traditional passenger-car market.

For BSB Junrose, the partnership creates an opportunity to build on its existing relationships with commercial and fleet customers while adding a globally recognized commercial tire portfolio to its offering.

Keeping commercial fleets moving

The company is showcasing the partnership at Transport & Logistics Philippines 2026, where fleet operators and businesses can learn more about its commercial mobility direction and the Michelin tire solutions being introduced.

The partnership brings together Michelin’s commercial tire technology and product portfolio with BSB Junrose’s understanding of the Philippine aftermarket and the operating requirements of local fleet customers.

For businesses operating commercial vehicles, the objective is ultimately practical: keeping vehicles available and productive while managing the demands of daily operations.

“Our role is to help customers keep their fleets moving,” Bangayan said. “For fleet operators, reliability and uptime are not abstract benefits. They are part of how the business delivers every day.”
