Meralco pushes solar in own sites
Manila Electric Company said it continues to install solar panels across its facilities as part of its sustainability and energy efficiency initiatives, reflecting the growing interest of households and businesses in renewable energy solutions.
Since 2020, Meralco has been implementing its Resource Conservation & Efficiency Program, an enterprise-wide initiative aimed at reducing operational energy consumption. The program includes the installation of solar panels in the company’s headquarters, Business Centers, and Sector Offices.
The power distributor said adopting solar technology within its own operations demonstrates its commitment to responsible and efficient energy use.
Meralco also highlighted the role of its solar solutions subsidiary, MSpectrum, which has been helping homes and businesses transition to cleaner and more sustainable energy sources.
The company added that it will continue promoting the responsible use of solar energy and other environmentally friendly technologies as part of its broader sustainability agenda.
