Isang Sikat Na Aktor Tuluyan Na Daw Iiwan “Ang Probinsyano” Dahil Sa Bagay Na Ito

Will John Prats leave FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano especially since he will be busier now as the new director of It’s Showtime?

In an interview with ABS-CBN News, the actor admitted that it is difficult for him to balance his time not only in acting and directing but also in being a father to his children.

“It’s really hard. Siyempre I have to balance not just ‘Ang Probinsyano’ and ‘Showtime,’ but also my time for my family. Because, you know, may bunso pa ako na kaka-one year old lang. So hanggang may time pa ako, like now, I’m here at home, so I spend it with them talaga,”

But for the actor, the support of his colleagues in Ang Probinsyano was a big help, more so his lead star and creative head Coco Martin, who has always supported his directorship.

Ako sabi ko nga, sa buong journey ko rin sa pagdidirek, ibibigay ko rin sa matalik kong kaibigan, kay Coco… Nung dumating ‘yung time na kainitan ng pagdidirek ko sa concert, 2018 to 2019, may mga schedules ako na bumabangga sa ‘Probinsyano’. Pero ‘yung suporta sa akin ni Coco, bilang siya ‘yung creative head at siya ‘yung direktor ng ‘Probinsyano’, kapag may sinabi ako sa kanya, ‘Paps, kasi may schedule ako, babangga.’ ‘Walang ano ‘yun, sige, ako na bahala,’

Added him, “Sobra niyang suportado ‘yung pagdidirek ko, at nararamdaman ko ‘yun every time nag-uusap kami,” patuloy pa niya. “Kung gaano siya ka-proud sa akin at kung gaano rin ako ka-proud sa kanya, kung ano ‘yung achievements niya. Kasi siya rin direktor, eh. Iba lang. Narrative lang pagdidirek niya, ako non-narrative. So natutuwa kami sa pagkakaibigan namin na parehas kami ng tinatahak. Magkaiba lang ng field na dini-direk but we have the same objective.”

“Doon naman sa aspeto na kung ano nang mangyayari sa akin, for now I’ll enter the bubble for FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano again for this round, and then go back to Showtime,

“‘Yun pa lang. Then we’ll see kung ano ‘yung magiging decision ng management kung anuman. Kasi, kami naman, kung saan kami ilagay, we will just do our best,”

Meanwhile, when asked if his character will be leaving the program, John laughed: “Hindi ko pa… Wala pa naman sinasabing ganun.”
