This Wednesday, August 11, Derek and Ellen, the YouTube channel of the engaged couple Derek Ramsay and Ellen Adarna, premiered.

“The Birthday Surprise” is the title of the first vlog where Derek’s proposal to Ellen was presented as a surprise for the actress’ birthday.

Derek said that the YT channel they created is just for good vibes.

They still can’t avoid their bashers, but the couple just wants to share their happy days, especially the preparations for their upcoming wedding.

When Derek and Ellen caught up with DZRH last Sunday, August 8, they congratulated newlyweds Angel Locsin and Neil Arce.

They said they were happy with the simplicity of Angel and Neil’s marriage, and Derek and Ellen would have wanted the same. They just wanted to be relaxed, especially the guests who will witness their oneness.

However, when it comes to wedding preparations, things are continuously changing due to both of their parents’ wish of having a grand wedding.

“We just wanted na low-key lang, tapos nagbongga nang very bongga na ng slight ang celebration because of our parents. Sila kasi ang very excited,”

Recently, Ellen’s auntie, who also lives in the village where they live, had dinner at Derek’s house. She said they talked to Derek’s parents and how much they wanted to happen at the wedding. But it is still simple and not as grand as other big wedding celebrations.

The entourage is almost complete, but when it comes to godparents, there are really very few. It is not typical for the godfather and godmother to be paired.

“Dalawa lang yata ang ninang namin at ilan lang ang ninong namin,”

When it comes to having a baby, Derek wants to have a baby right away. So Ellen promises, “Sige, next year na!”

They want wedding first before the baby. Ellen didn’t want to be pregnant on the wedding day.

“Ayoko naman magmukhang whale sa wedding ko!” she said.

““Kasal muna bago baby. Yun naman ang sundin namin,” Derek explained.
