Anne Curtis is overjoyed that her daughter Dahlia Amélie has already met her father, James Ernest Curtis-Smith.

The inaugural gathering of the mag-lolo took place on Father’s Day, June 20, 2021.

The Kapamilya actress-host was able to capture the heartfelt moment on camera and shared it on Instagram.

The Its Showtime host wrote in the caption, “She finally got to meet her grandad. [crying emoji]

“A year and a bit in the making but it finally happened.

“There’s a little bit of shyness but we’re getting there. This moment truly made my heart soooooo happy.

“Happy Father’s Day to our gentle giant. We love you so much! [heart emoji]”

Anne had to wait a long time to introduce her daughter to her father.

Anne and her husband Erwan Heussaff travelled to Australia in December 2019 for the It’s Showtime host’s maternity leave.

On March 2, 2020, she gave birth to Dahlia Amélie.

The Philippines was placed under community quarantine the following month, delaying the couple’s return due to airline restrictions.

Finally, the three-person family came in the country in February 2021.

At the virtual launch of Jollibee’s “Family Thanksgiving Month” campaign on April 29, 2021, Anne expressed her opinions on parenthood with PEP.ph (Philippine Entertainment Portal) and the press.

Looking back on her time in Australia, where she gave birth to their daughter Dahlia, Anne and her husband Erwan Heussaff expressed their gratitude to her mother Carmen and brother Jacques who helped them took care of their daughter

 

“It’s made me appreciate them even more. And I’m so grateful to have been given that time to spend, let’s just say, with my mom, my brother, when I was still in Melbourne.

“They really helped me during the first few months of motherhood and my husband as well.

“Just seeing my mom as a lola, in a different light, alam mo iyon? Mas nakikita ko pa nga na totoo pala iyon na mas spoiled pa ang apo!

“Little things like that, which made me appreciate and so thankful talaga to have them.

“Not only in my life, but in Dahlia’s life.”
